Oil change · Frankfort, Indiana
The cheapest thing you will ever do for an engine.
Full synthetic · conventional · filter · multi-point look
It is on a lift, so we look
The car is already in the air with the wheels off the ground. Not looking at the rest of it would be a waste of the visit.
The oil
What your engine asks for
Full synthetic on most late-model vehicles, and the viscosity in your manual rather than whatever is in the bulk tank.
The filter
New every time
A new filter every time. Nobody should have to ask whether that was included.
The look
While it is up there
Brakes, tires, belts, boots, leaks. If something is close, you get told now rather than when it strands you.
The verdict
Only what you need
If it can wait six months, we say so. Recommending work that is not needed is how shops lose people for good.
01 — DRAINED
Old oil and filter out
Drained warm so it carries the suspended material out with it, and the old filter comes off rather than getting topped around. We look at what comes out — metal in the oil is a conversation, not a shrug.
02 — REFILLED
Correct grade, correct quantity, checked
Filled to spec and checked on the dipstick rather than trusted to a chart. Overfilling an engine causes its own problems, so the level gets verified before it leaves.

Questions we get asked
How much is an oil change?
It comes down to how much oil the engine takes and whether it needs full synthetic. Call or text with the year, make and model and you will get a real number rather than a starting-from price.
How often should I change my oil?
Most late-model vehicles run 5,000 to 7,500 miles on full synthetic. Short trips, towing and Indiana winters shorten it. If the vehicle does not cover many miles, change it once a year regardless.
Do I need full synthetic?
If the manufacturer specifies it, yes — it is not an upsell, it is what the engine was designed around. Older engines that call for conventional do not need it, and we will say so.
Do you check anything else while it is on the lift?
Yes. Brakes, tires, belts, boots and leaks get a look while the wheels are off the ground. You get told what is close to needing attention and what can wait.
